MISS SOUTH FloRIDA SCHOLARSHIP FOUNDATION

Nekita Regula is a student at Everglades High School where she is an AP Scholar Student and a member of the prestigious Cambridge Academy, where she maintains a straight-A average. She is the President of her school's Debate Team and the Founder/President of her school's Model United Nations Team.  

As part of her social impact initiative, Nekita is a proud Autism Speaks Ambassador and has been serving the organization since she was 8 years old. She has participated and helped organize countless Autism Speaks Broward County walks. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Nekita organized her own Autism Speaks fundraiser where in just 5 months was able to raise $1,500 for Autism research and educational resources. She has used her title of Miss South Florida's Outstanding Teen to uplift and promote the mission of Autism Speaks Broward with the director of the organization, Miss Caroline. 

Nekita has been a Classical Indian dancer since she was 5 years old. She has participated in many annual recitals for her dance academy and has won numerous dance competition awards. 

As a self-proclaimed Girl Boss, Nekita strives to empower women and take down the disparity’s women face in every field. As an Ambassador for the Women in the MUN organization, she works to break down the barriers that many young girls face when it comes to public speaking and debate. She promotes the message of mindfulness by teaching others Yoga and breathing exercises on her social media and Zoom call sessions with middle school students. She also promotes this message through the Real Talk organization as an Ambassador. Nekita is also trained in Advanced Krav Maga, a martial art form from Israel. She loves getting to teach girls about the importance of self-defense and empowering them to be able to defend themselves.
