Amanda Shoopman is a 17 year old homeschool graduate currently attending Miami-Dade College. In her spare time she enjoys volunteering at Biscayne National Park, as well as with the EKIP Program in Everglades National Park, running half marathons and At nine months old Amanda was diagnosed with Retinoblastoma, a rare form of pediatric eye cancer. After undergoing one year of chemotherapy and four years of laser eye treatment she is now cancer free and is grateful to share her story of perseverance with others who are currently battling cancer and childhood illness.

Amanda’s Platform is “Live Like Bella- Childhood Cancer Awareness Foundation”. As a cancer survivor, her platform is very close to her heart. Live Like Bella supports children and families going through pediatric cancer with Research, In Treatment, and when necessary, Memorial support. What makes Live Like Bella so special is the way they are able to bring so much hope and joy to everyone they come across. Amanda is very blessed to work with them, and is looking forward to sharing her platform all throughout the city of Homestead as well as all of Florida.
